Peperomia incana is a favorite around the greenhouse. It's thick, heart-shaped leaves covered in a soft, velvety layer of silvery hairs are so perfect they almost don’t look real.

Begonia meticulata (polka dot begonia)
A pant that will stop you in your tracks! The silver-spotted leaves on deep olive green, with a flash of burgundy red on the underside, will make you swoon. The polka dot begonia is dramatic without being difficult, which is exactly the kind of energy we want in a houseplant.

The stacked, spiraling leaves really do look like someone strung tiny beads along every stem. Native to the rocky cliffs of South Africa, this plant thrives on a little neglect.

As a houseplant, Tradescantia earns its place on any shelf or hanging basket it can trail from. It grows fast, propagates almost embarrassingly easily (stem cuttings in water will root in days), and comes in enough varieties to suit any aesthetic.
