Chlorophytum Comosum: Spider Plant

Light
Spider plants thrive in indirect light, but they are pretty forgiving, so give them a try if you have a tricky light situation!

Water
Spider plants don’t like to sit in wet soil. Water thoroughly about every 10 days, allowing the plant to dry between watering.

Soil
Use well-draining potting soil (in a well-draining pot!).

Pro Tip
Spider plants are prolific baby-makers! Babies grow on the ends of long stems. They will quickly make roots of their own even while still attached to their mama. Just snip them off and nestle them directly in soil or grow them in water! All of your friends will soon have spider plants too.

Pet Safety
Spider plants are non-toxic, so they are safe for your pets! In fact, they are a favorite for cats to nibble.
